Well everyone, I have two days to go until my cd release!! I am so unbelievably excited!
My band and I have had three great rehearsals and if nothing else, we are really damn prepared!
We are having a film crew videotape the first four tunes. That should be interesting because they will actually be on stage with me. I can't say that I have ever had the experience of having a pro film crew taping my show and being on the stage with me. I know that we will get some great footage and then I can have a great reel on my website and on youtube. I have to get out to the masses!
Other than music, I have been busy with planning my wedding! Luckily, we are doing a destination wedding so most of the planning is done for us and we just have to take care of a few of the details. I don't how other couples do it when they plan an extravagant wedding. I can see how it would get stressful. But I am all about reducing stress in my life, so the destination wedding is perfect for my temperament.
I also started a new song last week. I am looking forward to finishing it. It is about really taking the time to get in touch with our lives and taking needed breaks to get out of our way and enjoy life. It's definitely a happier song. I get in my moods sometimes where I really dwell in feelings about lost love and hurt/pain. But then there are those times when I can't write anything but a happy tune. That might have to do with the fact that I have been doing a form of yoga everyday that really helps me to center and ground myself. It's called Kundalini Yoga. I have known about it for years, but have really taken a liking to it recently. Really helps to clear my head.
Anyway, I am looking forward to the cd release at Joe's. They have been so gracious with me and wonderful. I can't wait!!
